They are robberies in Jamaica, port of florida, port of Galveston, port of NY and so on and so on...Get my point, it can and does happen everywhere. I feel more safe in Jamaica then in some parts of NY, Chicago, LA,INDIANA, ETC

Kuki that was actually what I was thinking when I was looking in Ebay. I said to myself why would anyone pay 99 cents for the story but then on the bottom it says the money goes to some victim cruise fund. I posted to see if anyone else saw it or actually bought the story on ebay. I was wondering if the story was actually true the way he says it happened and posted on ebay.
I actually heard about this. I was in Jamaica the day before it happened. I think the thing that's most surprising about this event is that it happened on a shore excursion. (not sure if it was an "official carnival" excursion) When you buy one of these things, you expect it to be safe. But it honestly doesn't surprise me. I hate Jamaica after my experience and I will NEVER set foot on her again!

Funny thing is the money is not going to the person on ebay who posted the story its going to some sort of fund for cruise people who experience violence on a cruise. All you read is the post and then the guy says Carnival ignored the whole incident even though it was a Carnival based excursion. The pics he posted were from his camera memory stick he put in his mouth the guys look scary. You can read all the above for free without spending the 99cents put in Carnival on ebay and scroll until it comes up. The pics of the guys who did the crime are posted on ebay along with the family with two kids who went on the excursion it says.
I just went to ebay to look, and it gave me cold chills. I have of course heard the stories, and even met some of those involved, but have never seen the pictures. That was pure evil in that man's eyes.
One of the men was shot and killed. I wonder if it was the man shown.
I still don't think it's right to sale the story, no matter who the money goes to. With only a certain amount of copies, and .99 that wouldn't amount to much.

The poster is a Police officer and is simply using ebay to get his story out to more people. He tells the entire story on ebay as he has on another cruise board. I don't think he is really trying to sell it. Just wants people to read about it and be carefull.
I have heard similar stories like this from people who went there but took tours from hotels. I guess he is trying to tell the story. The pics scared me also.
Once I found out who had offered them, I realized that he is trying to get the word out, and I guess this is a way to do it, on a non cruise site. His daughter had to beg for her life, doing the robbery. They are still having trouble accepting the fact that they are now safe in their own homes.
Wouldn't Carnival be responsible for these passengers safety if it was an excursion booked through the ship. If the story is true I am glad he is getting the word out so people could be more cautious wherever they go even on excursions off the ship.
