It's a Spirit classed ship, and the ugliest of the three I have been on. I guess I was just expecting better.

Had a hell of a cruise, though!

Yes, she's Spirit class, but my absolute FAVORITE! Great crew, and the spirit class is the best size and layout of any of the Carnival ships, in my opinion. If you're sailing in November, you will see the ship right after drydock, and the change in the dining room, which is what most people thought was ugly. (I didn't think it was particularly ugly,,,,just different) I think you'll find that "Miracle" is an excellent choice, and will be willing to wager that you'll have a great cruise aboard her.

Ken

As you can see, I like her so much I've booked her again for an 8 day October 22nd. Watch the boards, and I'll report in when we return.

My family and I sailed on the Miracle 3 years ago and absolutely loved it! The layout was a bit different than other carnival ships we have been on (like only having one dining room). I thought it was a beautiful ship with a great theme. The crew was excellent, possibly the best we've had. Hope you have a great cruise!

The Miracle is a great ship and I agree with Skymaster, the Spirit-class ships have the best layout of any in the fleet in my opinion.

Last year this time, we sailed on the MIRACLE. My comments dittos "nvabill". The color patterns in the Bacchus Dining room were a bit overpowering. We had a super cruise. BTW, if you just happen to be passing through the casino, please look for the money that I lost :-)

I really wasn't sure when the refit was to take place, however after researching the question, it appears that Miracle was in for refit the second, and third week of April this year, so she's already been through the process. I can't wait to get aboard again, as we had such a great time the last time we sailed her.

Took the Miracle out of Tampa in Sept last year and had a great time. The (relatively) smaller ship made for less crowded decks and (somewhat) shorter lines with no noticeable loss of services. We loved the entire cruise, even though the first night was on rough seas.

Just my 2 cents worth, Don’t get a cabin on the Panorama deck, too much noise from the Lido deck when they clean up late at night and reset the deck chairs early in the morning. Also if you get a balcony, choose a room that “extends out? on the left or right, not the ones that are “sunken in?. The sunken in rooms look down on the life boats. That’s not a disaster but the extended out rooms look straight down on the water.

My wife, three children and I traveled on the Miracle this past May. I wish we could say it was our favorite cruise but that would be untruthful. The food was at best average. We have cruised every year since we got married back in 1995 and have to say the quality of Carnivals fare has been slipping greatly. The service was great. The staff loved making conversation and you always received a good morning, afternoon or evening every time you ran into any of the staff. The ship was always clean. The crew takes pride in keeping their ship spotless. The entertainment was good. Many of the programs were meant for either the baby boomer seniors or the WW2 seniors. After 10m the ship was very quiet. My wife are not spring chickens but we are still young enough to enjoy a club at night. Getting on the ship was a long tedious process. I think Carnival could have made the process of getting on board a little easier. Getting off was not as bad but be you have to be ready for the mad dash to get your baggage. The port times were short. Something we knew when we booked our two cabins on the ship. I can tell you that after being on board for two and a half days at sea I was relieved to get off. My wife and I must have walk from one end of the ship to the other a hundred times. Bingo gets boring and you can only sit at the pool for so long. The next cruise we travel on will include more stops and less days at sea. So the Miracle wasn't a bad cruise but Carnival is now charing for things they used to give it's passengers like free movies in your stateroom. You now have to pay $10 for each movie and you only get to view it once. For that price you should be able to see it all day long. Next year we will be cruising on RCCL or Princess.

Default carnival miracle

Just got off the Miracle on 7/30. It was a fun cruise, but there needs to be more activities onboard. I stayed in a balcony room on the 7th floor and our steward "forgot" to replace the beach towels, we had to chase him down for them daily, although he did keep our room beautifully clean.

Kids running WILDLY throughout the halls needs to be addressed by Carnival. This should NEVER be allowed. Happened in the Horatio dining room on deck 9, too, and at one point, an angry group of people yelled "SHUT UP" to a particularly obnoxious gang.

The ship itself was very pretty, very clean.

You will NEVER see the CD Brent roaming around onboard, although he will tell you during his shows that he is "always" around.

The dance team and singers were the worst I have ever seen on any cruise line. Lead singers were absolutely awful. I know now the pain Simon Cowell must feel after sitting through auditions.

Tortola was BEAUTIFUL, but they only give you a few hours there. Skipped the Carnival tours and went with a group by taxi all over the island and wound up at Long Bay Beach (where the Pirates movies were filmed) all for $10! Loved Tortola.

Too long in Puerto Rico, shopping district had rotting garbage in the streets. Went on the shopping tour and stopped only at the Capitol building and Fort San Cristobal. Could have walked there in 15 minutes and saved the $37.

St Thomas - do NOT miss Magen's Bay beach, beautiful! Can do snorkeling, kayaking, etc. Skip the Carnival run excursions and just jump in a cab ($8 pp), $4 to get on beach, $5 to rent a chair for the day.

Food was very good in my opinion, but SKIP Nick and Nora's, a complete ripoff and for $30 extra. I've had a better lobster tail at Red Lobster. Complete waste of money.

Embarkation in NYC was a NIGHTMARE. People were rude, and we waited in line for over two hours, even though we had completed all paperwork online and there was supposed to be a "funpass quickpass line". There wasn't. Cattle getting herded is what comes to mind when embarking.

Once on the ship, the staff were very nice. Brandon, one of the assistant cruise directors (I guess) was the best bingo caller, all the others, especially "BIG SEXY" flew through the games as if they were on fire.

Catch "Music Boardwalk" in Frankie and Johnny's, an AMAZING cover band.

All in all, I DID have a great time. I went with a work friend and the time just flew by.

Have a great time!
