Just looking at cabins on this ship, what are people's thoughts on cabins close to the front, if not right there in front on the Empress deck--we have sailed in the back on cruise ships and liked it (quiet, less foot traffic)--looking at cabins 7207 7208 7211 Thx
Sailing closer to the front you're closer to the anchor dropping (which is extremely loud @ 7 a.m. if you're asleep...) and the engines. I prefer the middle.
We were in cabin 8212 in April, same deck as the bridge. Never heard the anchor dropping or engine noise. It was kind of cool to watch the action on the bride departing and arriving at different ports, waving at the captain and other officers and such. Didn't notice any extra movement either.
I'll take any cabin that has a balcony, forward, middle or aft.
