Default My daughter & her boyfriend just booked a cruise

I am so jealous....my daughter and her boyfriend just booked a cruise this afternoon for spring break...my parents would have died if I would have booked anything with my boyfriend when I was 18. But she is in college and she is paying all of her own expenses - 18 is considered a legal adult - so there is nothing I can do about it. We have sailed on Carnival 3 times before - but to go on Carnival you have to be going with someone 25 or older. So they booked on Royal Caribbean. I know they will have a good time...I am trying to book a cruise for the end of July or the beginning of August...my last cruise was with a group of high school graduates this past May and I don't plan on doing that again!!!! I want to go and relax.

How old is the boyfriend, if he is also under 21, they will have to have someone in the same cabin who is at least 21.

He's 22...She said that going on a cruise is so much cheaper than going to Panama City or somewhere like that - I guess the rates rare really high at the beach during college spring break.

Now isn't that an awful thought...everyone that I work tells me all the time...if they are doing anything it doesn't have to be on a trip or out of town....and I guess that they are right...even though that is a hard thing to have to think about - once they are in college and aren't at home you don't know what they are doing anyway...you don't even really know what they are doing when they are at home-although alot of parents would like to think that they know every move their kids make. I did find out it is the Grandeur that they are going on.

I took my daughter on a cruise for her 18th birthday. She begged me to take her boyfriend with us on the cruise. What a mistake! We were all in the same cabin (4 of us), so no baby making!
On the morning of her birthday at 2AM I was awakened by her crying, her boyfriend was not in the cabin and she couldn't find him. Being the Mom, I got dressed and helped her look for him on the ship, no luck. At 4AM he returned to the cabin. When my daughter asked him where he had been he related that he was hanging out with 2 women! On my daughter's birthday from midnight to 4AM! I don't know who was the dumbest, him for "hanging out" with 2 girls on his girfriends birthday or me for taking (and paying) him on a cruise! Take a cruise without the happy couple and have a great time!

Our daughter's college graduation gift was a 3-day Bahamas cruise for she and her boyfriend on Royal Caribbean. It was a great bargain and much cheaper than the DisneyWorld trip she wanted. They were both 21 when they went on their cruise in May. They had a lot of fun on the cruise and didn't miss Mickey one bit. No Baby On Board when they returned, either

Speaking of Disney World - I did suggest that --- but a couple of look at the prices and they decided it was way to expensive. She did tell me last night that one of her friends and her boyfriend booked a cruise yesterday -but it was one out of Miami.
