Prescription Drugs
Does anyone know the requirements for bringinng medications on board?
Do they need to be in a pharmacy bottle or can they be brought onboard in a weekly pill case? Thanks, Pete |
I've not known anyone who would be checking to care.
Still, any narcotics should remain in their pharmacy bottle, just in case. Phil & Liz |
Ka, what we do, we dump all our medications in one bottle but we do carry the presciption/receipts with us, just in case. More practical than carrying a bunch of bottles that are all odd shapes and sizes.

Captain is on target..I have one of those pill containers that go by the day (I always carry 3 extra days with me) and a copy of my Wal Mart prescription slips
I'm thinking about getting one of those medical chips that has all my information on it |
If you're flying and bringing them in your carry-on then it may be the TSA who would be giving you a hard time. Having perscriptions with you and making sure the name on the bottle is your name is the best way to avoid any troubles. I've never heard of anyone having any major troubles regarding medication.

I've traveled all over the world and the U.S. before and after 9/11 and have only been asked about a schedule II medication that I carry. That was only one time.
I just put my pills in the seven/fourteen day pill cases and take the receipts with me. I leave the schedule II in its original case and take the receipt. Take care, Mike |
