Shopping in St. Thomas

Is there more than one good shopping area in St. Thomas ? It's been many decades since I was there and remember shopping being right off of the pier. Is this "Charlotte Amalie" that I see in the excursion description ?

Yes it is Charlotte Amalie. There are a few shops at the dock area but most are downtown. I think the cab fare was $4 each last time we were there.

The downtown has the major shopping area, but Havensite, where most of the ships dock, has a large and growing, shopping area as well..The name stores in both places will have the same prices.

The newest area is, the old sub base,called Crown Bay, where just a few ships can dock as I remember. The area is in the process of being built up, but will remain the smallest place to shop...cabs are available at both the new area, and Havensite to take you downtown..Happy sales!

Yes there is tons of good shopping in St. Thomas.
Go downtown to shop.
Thats the place I buy most everything I want.
if you like linen stuff for gifts or your self be sure
to stop in to Mr. Tablecloth. They have the most
wonderful items. They will take good care of you there.
Its my favorite place to shop...
They love seeing me walk in the door.. lol
You can buy almost anything there.
You can shop there for hours downtown.
There is like a flea market place by downtown I dont
think I have ever stopped there but sure was full of
people. So cant tell you what all they have but I am sure
two of everything .
