Carnival Freedom June 15th 2008 Excursions and Car Rentals

Hello every one I am a long time Cruiser may have done at least 18 cruises. I
have alway normaly have either rented a car,Moped or done taxi rides to any destination that I have every been to. But this year I will be going with another family and need your suggestions.

Being in Rome is no Problem I can take the train there and rent a car in livorno done that however, I need to know if anyone has been to Turkey and Greece and could tell me if the excursions are worth the Money.

Like I said never done many excursions always on my own so Please help?

In Turkey I recommend ship's tour to get to Ephesus. In the Greek Islands we found english speaking guides/taxis easy to find at the ports at reasonable costs, and others we rented a car and explored on our own. Worked well for us.
