Default Carnival Transportation vs other transportation

is it better to use carnival transportation from the Miami airport and FLL airport to cruise terminal. I am flying in to Miami and flying out of FLL.

It is cheaper to use another transportation company rather than Carnival's transfers for MIA/FLL. Carnival charges $30 to FLL and $15 to MIA from the Port of Miami but most transportation companies will be a bit below that and better yet you don't have to wait for the 50 passenger Greyhound busses that they charter to fill up before leaving. We sat on the hot bus for about 40min at the Port before leaving for FLL. This may especially harm you if you have an early flight.

The company I have been taking with is thetransferanswer.com but floridalimo.com was also good (for FLL only though). It also depends on the size of your family/group. I've heard mixed reviews about cabs in Miami, when they're good they're good but when they're bad they're horrible.

It might be just me, but I would prefer to cab it to the airport, and not go via the bus. It's simply a more comfortable ride. Going on the bus, you may get the last seat, and also have to wait till it gets filled, before you can leave.

The ride to the Lauderdale airport is just a short ride, and while the Miami airport is a bit of a longer ride, it's a calmer and more comfy way to begin or end the cruise.

Default Fares from MIA

What are the fares by taxi from Miami airport to the cruise terminal? One person fare.

I'm not sure about that, I've heard a cab would be around $30 from the Port to MIA which isn't bad if you split the price. For one person that would be a bit steep, double what the Carnival transfers cost.

Maybe look into a shared van transportation service?

Its been a long time but I would skip Carnivals tranfers on principle.

Especially at Debarkation its a free for all getting to the buses Everyone dragging their luggage thinks they belong on the bus first.

So I just assume take a cab even if it cost more.

Default Cab Fare

Here is a link to verify the rates from Miami airport to the port terminal. We have several friends who went by cab and verified it was a flat rate of $24 per cab and we plan on doing this in May.
