Lido Deck Cabins

My friend and I just changed our balcony cablin to the Lido Deck on the Splendor. I have always been midship a few decks down. We thought it would be nice to be near the pools, activities and the food on the Lido Deck.

If you have stayed on the Lido especially on any of the newer larger ships. What are your cheers & Jeers???

The Lido deck is our favorite. As you say it is so near everything. We like the idea of being high up on the ship.

I would say good for it, and have a great time.

I had a Deck 10 (Panorama deck) on the Triumph) I loved being high up. I didn't feel the movement at all. Most say the higher up the more movement, but no, I find it is better to be higher!!!!!!!

I am going to book the Mexican Riviera for Sept of next year for my big birthday celebration!!! I am tossed wether to get a suite or not....will see if I can get them to give me a reclass at work (which means more $$$)

Last year my friends and I got the Penthouse Suite. I thought it would be hard to go back to a regular type cabin. But it's not. I'm looking forward to my balcony cabin on the lido for my next cruise. The Penthouse Suite could sleep 4 with 2 in the beds and 2 on the sleeper. However, the sleeper is not comfortable for a larger adult. No place for the sheets to tuck in the sheets and I was on leatherette the whole night. I asked for a roll away. It was much more comfortable. But if you only have 2 in the room it would be great. More room walk in closet so you could be in the closet and your roomy can go in and out of the bath. Oh the bath has a whirlpool tub. But we never used it. Very narrow. And we actually would have preferred the ease of getting in and out of a regular shower. This was on the Paradise which is an older ship and it may be different on a newer ship.

We always book a stateroom on the Lido Deck, the close proximity of the pool, activities, and buffet is great...no elevators or stairs required to access this area. I have never felt any more sway or movement on the Lido deck in relation to other decks. It takes 2 minutes to grab a quick cup of coffee and pastry in the morning and a late night ice cream cone. We have stayed on the Lido deck on the Valor, Glory, Liberty, Freedom, etc. I think you will enjoy it.

Hello fellow cruiser

We were on the Panorama deck last year on the Victory. We had never stayed that far up or forward either. Actually it was really great. The best part was being so close to the pool and Lido decks. It was quiet and convenient and didn't have to wait on elevators. Have a great time and enjoy.

We loved staying on the Lido deck so much when we cruised the Liberty we are doing it again when we sail the Glory in August. We found it to be very convenient for us

We loved being on the Lido deck on the Glory, I wish the Spirit class ships had cabins on the Lido deck also but oh well. It was definitely a plus for us.

We always book Lido balconies when on Carnival. It's the best. Close to everything and amazingly quiet.
