we are planning a day at st kitts who can tell us what too do a day at a beach what beach is the best or take a tour on the island what is the best tour

Best tour ? Anything to Brimstone Hill Fort I just loved the place back in April. Out of St Thomas, St Lucia, Antigua, Barbados, and Dominica...St Kitts was my favorite island on the Southern Caribbean itinerary that I took. Others that I talked with felt the same way.
BEACHES? Sorry that I'm very little help there. I might be wrong ( happens quit a bit ) but I didn't get the impression that St Kitts is much of a beach destination. Reading in Carnival's 2008 shore excursions booklet...

Water was pretty rough when we were at St. Kitts. Did go all the way down to Cockleshell Beach - very souther tip across from Nevis. Nice view, but wasn't such a nice beach. It was quite a treat to be at points with the Atlantic and Caribbean are both in view - the island is that narrow! If you decide to go try to get a group - the taxi down and back was not cheap.
