Default Drink Packages?

I just read Todd DeHaven's Article "Cruising to Bankruptcy".He mentioned a drink package consisting of liquor and mix to be be purchased for your cabin. I never heard of this before .Does C.C.L. offer this and if so how much does it cost?Sounds like a great idea.

You can have liquor delivered to your cabin. The cost is high. You have to call the bon voyage department as it is not on the website. The number should be on the website. They will let you know what is available and the cost.

You can also buy prepaid drink coupons to buy drinks anywhere on the ship with. A friend of ours got us some of those. You just order whatever you want whereever you want and pay with the coupon. They are the same value as a drink. You can buy those online i think

The only problem with the drink coupons is if you order something over a certain amount they charge it to your sail and sign card.

We buy alot of drink coupons online ahead of time when we cruise. It takes the edge off the balance at the end. My fiance' drinks beer buckets, high end liquor, shots, wine etc and always turns in a coupon. I drink foo foo drinks and the only place I ever got charged extra was only 80 cents per foo foo drink if I sat at a bar by the pool. I usually just hand in a coupon if I am sitting elsewhere & tell the waiter to make it good and strong and turn in the coupon.

We added some bottles of liquor to our room for our upcoming cruise. They were pricey($50 - $60 per bottle), but still cheaper than buying by the drink. We forgot about mixers, i'm glad you said something. I better call them tomorrow, as we sail in 11 days. Or I'm sure we can get some once onboard.

We really like the drink coupons as well.

We prepay our tips and with the drink coupons...we pay for as much of the cruise upfront as possible.
