need help. alaska rci, carnival or celebrity

Hello friends I am trying to plan my next family cruise. We have selected Alaska. Which in your opinion is better, Carnival, Royal Caribbean or Celebrity. Looking to cruise in July/August because of kids summer breaks.

Because you are cruising with kids I would recommend giving Princess a shot. I know you didn't have that one on your list, but Princess and HAL have been doing Alaska the longest and know how to do it right. I just don't think HAL is the best fit for families, even during the summer. After the 2 listed I would suggest NCL, followed by Celebrity and RCI. Carnival isn't one of the lines that does that much in Alaska. It is important when picking a line you give consideration to which have the most experience with certain itineraries.

We sailed Carnival on the Spirit to Alaska and had a wonderful time!

At that time our kids were 3 and 6, we sailed in July. We also had my mother along who was 77. Three generations and we all had a blast.

The kids enjoyed Camp Carnival and couldn't wait to go each day and hated leaving each night.

Don't count Carnival out just because they don't have many ships in the Alaskan waters! The Spirit is a beautiful ship for this trip.
