going on first cruise in Oct 2008 with 2 more couples-Imagination--anything I need to know especially. The guys said they were not going to dress up any, told them they needed to dress up at least one night-do you all agree?
I agree! They dont have to get all dressy but just a nice polo and slacks is appropriate for the dining room and that shouldn't be hard for them to do. The food there is very good and worth the little extra effort to dress for. The filet and lobster is to die for alone!!! IMO it is much nicer than the buffets but then again there are many other choices on the ship. Have them try it once and go from there. It is not as dressy as they may be thinking. Altho some people dress very formal and others are more casual. It is all personal preferance. I say go for it!

They don't have to get all fancy, but I agree a nice polo and slacks will do. We enjoyed eating in the dinning room during our cruise. My DH only wore a tie one night and we were not under or over dressed. I do think the food in the dinning room was better then the buffett and worth dressing up alittle.
