Default Hurricane Hanna

Hanna is still near the Bahamas (my destination on 9/4), but no word yet from Carnival regarding changes or cancellations. If we can get out of port Canaveral on Thursday before she gets here and go to an alternate destination that's fine, but the odds are good that she will be very near Cape Canaveral when we are supposed to return to port. What happens then? I am getting nervous!

If, the port feels it has to close, you will enjoy another day or 2 at sea, and the line will help with flights, to those in need.

Two Carnival cruises were cut short this week. A 5 day had 1 port and 1 day cut off and everyone got a 25% refund and 25% off their next 3-5 day Carnival cruise. A 4 day was cut down to 2 and no ports but everyone got a 50% refund with 50% off their next 3-5 day cruise. Technically that gives them a free 2 day cruise to nowhere. Annoying but not a real bad deal.

2 ships this past week had 2 extra says at sea. I kinda hope that happens to us ~
I am nervouse about Ike and Josephine. Those are both expected to head in the gulf and of coarse our cruise leaves sept 14th and will probably run into problems.

If they leave on Wednesday and come back on Saturday, the cruise to nowhere is 3 days right?? lol. Insides for $99 and OVs for $119 still available. Heard the suites are now booked. Wish I could go.

Part of the reason I never book during the stormy season. We've done the 12-20 ft. seas in the Carb. in Jan., couldn't imagine going now. Good luck, will pray for u.

Keep an eye on the Carnival's website, they are always updating the ship information with regards to the storms.

You'll probably have an alternative itinerary. I know a RCCL Sovereign of the Seas that also goes out of PC wound up going to Key West. They can to cancel one of the Bahamas islands.

But who knows with Hanna? She can't even go in a stright line if you've been following the movements. She's a drunken cyclone!
