Default insurance question

I have been looking on Insure My Trip for insurance for my upcoming cruise. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience on which coverage to get? Thanks

I have no experience with the insurance, but you should try to go to the search page in cruise mates and type in something about carnival insurance. But make sure you only choose the carnival forum.

I like the CSA coverage. Look at their middle of the line coverage, it is good for medical evacuation which is very important in case of illness or an accident. Bob

Please make sure you get travel insurance. There is a post in the celebrity section of these message boards about a couple who had to cancel their cruise the day of the cruise. It was an alaskan cruise they paid almost 5 grand for an they did not have insurance. They are out the money.

Fantastic suggestion about the evacuation coverage. I'm checking my policy as soon as I get home. We first purchased travel insurance for the fact we would get our cruise money back if we couldn't travel but then I saw a story on the news about a woman who went to Egypt and broke her leg so badly she needed surgery. They said she paid $16 or so dollars for the coverage and it paid everything in full. That right there forever sold me on travel insurance.

I agree. I think travel insurance is always worthwhile getting. You never what could happen and at least this way you're covered.

I just bought the insurance from Carnival for an upcoming cruise and it looks like I could have gotten a much better deal from a 3rd party.. anybody have anything good to say about the plan Carnival offers?

Bri, always book the cruise insurance through a 3rd party, not the cruise line. Bob
