Mr Sanchos' Beach----Cozumel

I just saw a thread about this beach and it sounds great!! Anyone know how to get there on your own, price etc... once you are off the ship? With a family of five I'm always looking for a bargain. thanks in advance

just jump in a cab and tell you to take you there. It cost 2 of us $15 I think to get there. I am not sure if they charge per ride or per person. Its about a 15 minute ride. Well worth it though.. sand, beach, umbrellas, tables and great nachos and beer. Great way to spend an afternoon..

Is there a fee to enter the beach area?

There is no fee, but they would like you to order food and beverage. Try the guacamole, it is awesome. The cab ride is per car, not per person.

Mr. Sanchos is our favorite beach in Cozumel. Not real crowded, not as large as some of the others, but all the amenities. Full restaurant/bar, showers/lockers, freshwater swimming pool. We always enjoy our stay there!

Mr. S Beach is one that I recommend for couples who want less kids (not kid free) but don't want to pay the price of Nachi's $49.00 all inclusive.

All the beach resorts will be around $18.00 for 5 folks one way. Be sure to set the price before get in the taxi. Cozumel is not bad about hiking the taxi rates...but it does happen. And don't worry about getting back to the ship...there are more taxis than sand.

For families, I recommend Paradise Beach because the $10 wristband is a better deal for kids. The wristband is optional. Our 2 boys get it, but hubby and I do not. (we are shade people)

This includes unlimited 2 water trampolines and a bridge between then, an iceberg, kayaking, snorkeling, individual floats, multi people floats and land toys like a bungie trampoline...you can even climb a coconut tree.

Like Mr. S......Paradise Beach has no entrance fee. Their lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas, CLEAN restrooms, changing rooms are all free. All they ask is that you eat/drink while you are there ... which is fair. Paradise Beach even has free Internet at the bar.

All the food and drink are safe.

Both have independent vendors that offer motorzied water toys for an additional charge. Banana boats, jet skis, parasailing as well as massages on the beach.

You will have a great time!!

go to cozumelinsider.com to see a complete listing of cozumel beaches. This site gives a lot of info about cozumel and the beach site is set up like a chart comparing amenities at each beach.

We have done Paradise several times. Tom runs the place and it is great.

We loved it there. You have shopping, we went on ATV"S that was fun on the beach and in a rain forest. Highly recomened it. They do have a web site.

Very pleased with Mr. Sancho's beach. It was perfect for us. We were more than happy to order the guac. and chips and they were awesome. It was private, no vendors bothering. It was hot but there was lots of palapas and shade. There's a few shops, really, it's a great deal. Our taxi offered to 'wait' for us for $30 - ha! We didn't take him up on it and glad b/c there are more than enough taxi's waiting outside the beach entrance - easy as pie to get back to the ship on time. Just go right off the dock, when you enter the shopping area and ask any of the taxi's -

Not a problem. There are many vans available. Just be aware that "some" try to charge you $25 for 5 people...only pay $18!!
(at least to Paradise Beach...Mr S is a little further..so it may be a $1 or 2 more)

And don't worry about getting transportation back...there are more taxis than sand in Cozumel...even for 5 people!!

have fun!!!
