Default Now I am ready to book another, Destiny people..........

Now tht I am back, I am ready to book my next cruise. It seems here that Destiny seems to be a very popular ship. She was parked in front of our ship in Miami and she looked very nice.
Now, please tell me everything that makes her so popular!

I have never been on the Destiny, but a lot of people say they love the Destiny.

The Destiny is an older ship, I think 13 years old. But she is the bigget ship doing shorter than a week cruises.

You might want to consider doing a 7 day cruise becuase 7 day cruises are on newer and nicer ships.

Your right, the last two we did were a 7 and 10 day on brand new ships on Princess. I think you get spoiled when you get to do that.
We only did the 4 day because our friends had never cruised and wanted a short one to try it was really hard to go from 10 days to 4. I'm not sure I will ever to anything thing less then 7 days again.

I try to go 7 days or longer too, but I live in San Diego and I found an awesome deal for a 4 day cruise out of San Diego. It was only $196 with taxes. I couldn't resist booking it. It will be good to have a short getaway before I go to Alaska and take a cruise over the summer.

We just got back from doing the five night on the Destiny going to Grand Turk, Halfmoon Cay and Nassau. We had a great time and this is our favorite short cruise. We did the same cruise on the Imagination before
the Destiny took over this route.

We like longer cruises but we have enjoyed the five night as well. It all
depends on how much time you can find to do your cruise? The Destiny
is a older ship but she is in good shape. We got a great price on a balcony cabin. The food and service were very good.

I think you would enjoy doing a cruise on this ship??

Did the Destiny twice last year and had the time of my life both times. I have come to the decision she is the most fun of the FunShip fleet

One was a 7 day and one was a 4 day. I prefer the longer cruises, 4 is much, much too short. If you decide to do a short cruise, I would say the Destiny is the way to go though. Like previous poster said, she's a bit older but is in pretty good shape for an older ship *there are rough patches.* I'd sail her again and again.

Have fun!

Even though she is the oldest she is the biggest ship doing 4 day cruises. Also the one with the most balconies.

The Destiny was the first 100,000< tons mega ship. Last April I went to the Southern Caribbean on her and found her to be the typical "fun ship". She seemed to be a slightly less large, less flashy version of the Valor( which I took in 07).

We did the Destiny just before she went into drydock. The ship was in bad shape at that time. We even had pipes leaking on us in the dinning room. But even with that we still had a great time on her. I would like to sail her again now that she has been redone.

Wow pipes leaking in the dining room! She REALLY needed to go into drydock.

I can offer encouragement there !!
Alaska is wonderful provided you enjoy mountains and cool weather. I cruised there twice. Every cruiser should do Alaska at least once

Last year I did the Destiny to Southern Caribbean, visiting St Thomas, St Kitts, St Lucia, Antigua, Barbados, and Dominica. That was wonderful also. In my worthless opinion, the Southern Caribbean is the BEST Caribbean. The islands are more beautiful, the culture more genuine, and the history more rich.

Last April the Destiny seemed just fine to me. I cannot recall seeing any such wear & tear. Perhaps that dry-dock did the trick?
