Default Help I need to pick a cabin!

We are sailing on the Valor 5/3 and have a balcony. We have our choice between the Lido and the Panorama deck. Where is the best location? ie. close to the elevator further away and which are these Aft cabins I hear so much about. Opinions please!

If you can get an aft, this are the more desirable balconies; they are at the very rear of the ship and have a larger balcony;

if you are a light sleeper; don't pick rooms below/above the workout room or disco; the lido deck may be more quiet.

I am staying on the Panaramic deck on Feb 22, 2008; first time this ship and location.

Personally, I usually book midship for convenience & at least a few doors away from the elevator so it is a bit quieter.

Howver, I am excited about the Panaramic deck, it is the 2nd cabin from teh very front. however, it is below the gym & spa etc, but it appears that the more forward cabins may not have the gym over them as each deck level recedes back.

I loved the Panorama Deck - RM 1014 - tucked up front and not much foot traffic in the hallways.

I like to have a cabin close to the elevator. It gives us a shorter walk at the end of a long day......I have never had any noise issues either.

I loved the cabins on Panorama and Lido. I have had Cabin 9294 on the Liberty (it's the sam eon the Valor) and loved the fact that it was the last cabin and steps away through a door to Lido deck! The elevators are close by and there is no one above you, below you, or beside you on one side. Cabin 9293 is the same, except on the starboard side of the ship.

I had cabin 1066 on the Triumph (all Conquest class have this cabin too) and loved the fact I was a few steps away from the door to Panorama deck (and beside the big twister slide). No one was above me or beside me on one side.

The aft balconies can be bigger, but being steps away from Lido directly on Lido or from Panorama, that can't be beat!!!!!!!

I have booked Cabin 9294 for the Glory for January 2010, I love that cabin location so much!

I am sailing the week of 4-27 on the Valor. I chose the Empress deck because there aren't any public areas just above or below this deck. WE sailed in 07 on the Liberty ( also a conquest class ship) we were on the upper deck some what foward of the elevators. No problem with elevator noise bot there was some noise fron the theatre, when it was in use.

I love the Lido deck too - Haven't been on the Valor, but been in similar cabin placement on the Conquest and Liberty and Ledo deck near the outside doors are my favorite cabin area.

Good for you! Don't forget to start a roll call to see who else is going.

ummm i would go for the lido deck. its closer to the main floors that have things to do. also i would try to stay away from the elevators because of the party people who get drunk and are really noisey and wake everybody up.
