Default Taking wine onboard

I know that one bottle of wine per traveling adult is acceptable but, do I just pack it in our luggage or do i have to have it in a carry on?

Either way is okay. I carry on because it has less of a chance of breaking.

I agree with Katlady, just take it in your carry-on. Less hassle and less chance of it breaking in your luggage. Plus its allowed so no need to sneak it on. Heather and I took 2 bottles each in our carry on and nothing was said. Just a little FYI. Have a great trip.

This trip I plan on wrapping the bottles in bubble wrap. Someone wasn't careful last time, and one of the bottles broke.

In addition to bottles in your carry on you may want to look at some of the boxed wine in your checked luggage as there are many good ones out there such as Corbett Call me the wino if you like.

Here is a product I read about on one of those "travel gadget" lists. I've not used it - but it is called a WineSkin.

I took 12 bottles of wine with me on a recent 18 day cruise. My experience is that the longer the cruise, the more lenient Carnival is with bringing extra bottles of wine/champagne with you. Nice to be able to have a glass of wine in your room before going to dinner and sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down. It doesn't get much better than that.

i bring it in my carry on. by the way if leaving from fort lauderdale, you can bring on 1.5l bottles, no problem. also try a good box of wine, you can put it in your checked luggage without it breaking. i know people frown on boxed wine, but we tried BLACK BOX CALIFORNIA MERLOT and it was good. 18.99 a box in fort lauderdale.
