To the ladies re: bra security pouch

Hi Ladies,

I just ordered two bra security pouches (Bra Stash Personal Security Wallet, $6.94) from Amazon.com as they seem like a great thing to have, whether you'r traveling or just want to wander the mall and not worry about pick pockets. Does anyone have something like that and how do you like it?

I would want to keep the day's cash, S&S card, driver's license, insurance cards and a credit card in it.

This is more appealing to me than a waist belt as that is just too uncomfortable for me, and I won't want a "leg" one as I would not wear long pants.

Thanks for your thoughts...

Michelle

i haven't used it but looked it up~i think it looks uncomfortable.

we used these in Europe http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/416WG28GHJL.jpg and really liked them. they were small and fit under our clothes without a problem, and had a wire in in strap so they couldn't be cut.

i hope you get yours and like it, and that it works out well for you.

O.K.,,,,I just can't help myself. I've got to ask. You go into a store and buy a bottle of water. How do you get out the $1 without flashing everyone?????

Its called cleavage diving. It takes a certain amount of attitude and the "What you looking at?" glare to pull this one off. I personally have not tried this but I have seen it done. LOL

The DW is a lunch lady - their seem to be plenty of teenage girls at her school who just use their bra for storage. Like she wants to handle your money after you have pulled it out of there.

It might be a good idea for your emergency cash and credit card I think it would be worthwhile to just put the walk around money and a credit card in your front pocket.

I don't know if many women would want to do a cleavage dive in the middle of a store.

Take care,
Mike

I prefer a silk pouch that goes around my neck. I only put in those things that I hope not to need while in port...like ID, credit card, extra cash. I put the money I have allocated to spend in my front pockets. If I am allowd to say this, I got mine from Magellan's.

Ken, the idea is to only keep a little cash in a front pants or shorts pocket at a time, for small purchases ($10-15). Then, during the day of running aroudn the port, as that gets low you take the opportrunity when you are in the restroom to pull out another $20. Tihs keeps most of your "cash for the day" and credit card and id's safely tucked away.

Where did you get yours at? Who is the manufacturer? I don't think ANY security pouch is completely comfy, but I really don't like the waist pouch and wouldn't wear one around the neck as it's visible.

we borrowed ours but you can get them at any luggage store/walmart/etc. it had a rope and was similar to wearing a purse across one shoulder to the opposite waist. ours wasn't those exact ones but almost identical. i think i found it on the website you found your security pouch.

it fit under our clothes without an issue. and there is a wire in the strap that won't allow it to be cut with a knife/box cutter/whatever else anyone can come up with.

Does one get one for each side? Looks like a zip-tie attachment so I agree potentially very uncomfortable.

passionmango April 9th, 2009 10:44 PM

I usually put my cell phone and money in my bra and it holds well, but I may look into this,

I received the pouches yesterday and I think it will work veryw ell for me. It's not as wide as I'd like, so you could put your passport in there but it will hold my 2 credit cards, drivers license, medical insurance card, sail & sign card, and cash. This is exactly what I wanted for excursions as well as just roaming around the ship - except when I'm in swimsuit mode of course. I would keep $20 in my shorts pocket, of course, bu "emergency cash" would go in the pouch, so I don't have to dig into it. I can see myself reaching in to pull out a credit card if I need to, without having to pull the whole punch out from under my shirt. It works very well. I'm glad I ordered two.

It's comfortable and I will want to tuck the pouch into my bra so there is no obvious outline under a tight tank top. I was concerned that the straps that attach to the bra straps would not be out of tight but they are.

Can someone tell me how to insert a photo here into a posting? Then I can post a photo of it. Thanks!
