We have 3 people in a balcony room, with one of us sleeping on the pull out sofa. Does anyone know if there is an extra mattress that could be put on the sofa for comfort, or are they comfortable the way they are. Thanks!
I have slept on the sofa as is and, while it is not as comfy as the beds are, I was fine. And I have a sleep disorder plus other problems that cause pain if I have to sleep on a too hard or too soft mattress. I would not try to have a mattress added to the sofa, but if the person who ends up there isn't comfy, as for a rollaway bed.

I only know one solution to your problem, that is the rollaway bed. You can use this bed and add there are companies that provides perfect mattresses for this that will make you comfortable.

You cannot get a rollaway bed in all cabins and some ships do not provide them. But should you ever find any bed on any ship to not be to your liking, including sleeper sofas, simply ask your cabin steward to provide you with a 'topper'. Sometimes this will be a simple egg-crate type foam rubber topper, but other times it can be a memory foam-type topper.
