Default Amenity points

Does anyone know how many amenity points it takes for $100 OBC for the 9/11/2010 sailing on Carnival Inspiration?

I'm not sure what you mean? Are you talking about Carnival stock?
Sorry just trying to help.

Your travel agent should be able to tell you how many points you get for your group. Then there's a "menu" of amenities to choose from, each with an assigned points "cost" (for lack of a better term).

The amenity points vary from ship to ship, and sailing date to sailing date.

If you're talking $100 obc per person, cost would likely be quite high... if available at all. A $100 obc per cabin is probably doable.

I am naive - what are these "amenity points"? Thanks in advance.

Hey Kuki, thanks for the reply. The thing is I am afriad we are having honesty issues with my TA.

Short version- we have this sailing booked as group with 17 cabins already deposited $25pp to hold our reservation and carnival has told me it has 5 points. The TA has yet to provide me with a contract outlining terms and has yet to send me the amenity list that I requested. All he says is that we get $100 OBC for this sailing. If the OBC is all 5 points we are good but I have had others tell me that the $100 OBC is only 4 points and if this is the case then he is being less than honest and I do not want to take the chance that he would do something else that might end with 30+ people being mad at me on a ship and me having no where to hide!!

Bobsfamily- amenity points are perks that come along with booking a group onto a certain ship and sailing...you can "buy" certain little perks onboard with them such as OBC and wine and photos and tote bags and bathrobes etc. to be given to everyone in your "group".

I haven't checked the length of this sailing, however, if it is 5 night sailing, $100 OBC per cabin is 5 amenity point. $100 OBC per cabin for a 4 night sailing is 6 points.

The $100 OBC per cabin for 4 points is for cruises of 7 nights. Your TA is telling you the truth.

Thanks cruzinlass - You have no idea how relieved I am to hear this!!! Yes, it is a 5 day. We have been having problems getting phone calls returned and emails answered for simple stuff...even booking cabins...so when this issue was drawn to someone's attention we started getting freaked out about all the money we had deposited etc. if there was an honesty issue. First time I have been involved in a group so it is trial by fire I suppose!

It's all good....now if only I could get him to return a phone call......
