We have many friends in the area so prefer Chez Hibbard (don't look you won't find it). But seriously many people seem to like the Raddison. There are some more discussions under the Hotels board in Practical Advise.

I can only comment on the Radissson Hotel. The hotel was very clean and comfortable...very nice pool area and the hot breakfast buffet was great. We made reservations for the shuttle when we booked our room reservation and was on the first one at 11:00 a.m., the ride to the Port took 5 minutes. The shuttle picks passengers up at the hotel entrance and drops them off right in front of the terminal. We could see the cruise ships from our hotel room window. The long term parking lot is adjacent to the hotel property and is not gated but there were no problems upon our return. We dropped off all our bags upon check-in and moved our car to the long term parking lot the next morning because we drove into Cocoa Beach for dinner that evening. For visitors not familiar with the area, there are numerous restaurants, souvenir stores, gas stations, etc. in close proximity to the Port and surrounding area. Overall, we were very happy with our choice.

Question Raddison at the port

is there any problems with damage or vandalism in the parking area.
What about a hurricane we are scheduled for GLORY in Nov 2010

There were no problems with our vehicle when we returned from our cruise. I believe the Radisson has security personnel who drive thru the parking lot. The lot is set far back from the road and adjacent to the hotel property.

Will the Glory still be in Port Canaveral? When is it moving to Miami?

I just stayed at the Radisson in Sept--- its a large hotel and kind of spread out-- I'd ask for a room closer to the pool ? IMHO----and yes there was some vandelism ???? to a parked car---
While waiting for a room to be ready---they were doing their best to let us check in early and have a room close to a friend that had checked in the day before-- I was chatting with some people who were waiting to get their window fix---seems it was broken---they were just back from doing a b to b---nothing was taken and aparently this was a rarity----I let some friends know about this --since they were leaving their car------and they checked with the hotel staff ------
I'd stay there again---I had fun playing with the sleep number bed--
cheers
April
