I did go to the site on Carnival and look at all the benefits but wondered if it really made that much difference in speeding up embarking and disembarking. I've heard you get gifts in your stateroom also. I would love to be able to get off the ship really early because most of the ports we go out of are 8-10 hours away from home. I love being on the ship but when it is time to go home...I want to get back as quickly as possible since we have to leave our dogs at the kennel.

Yes, the platinum does get you at the front of the line for debarkation. Both for self and regular. One of the better benefits and it DOES make a difference.

Be careful with the laundry service. Don't send anything good. Gift has been a frame for a while now.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Platinum.

You will have to go to the Casino cage to get your free Slot Tournament card. They have a list of all the Platinum folks and have you sign the sheet that you have received it.

Embarkation with Platinum truly depends on the port. Some ports run it better than others. It becomes the best benefit should you arrive behind 4 transport buses from the Airport. OR (as in our case on the Holiday) if the ship has delayed boarding because of the fog and all 3,000 people are trying to get on at once.

Debarkation again depends on the ship. We have had everything from a perfect Platinum self assist on the Legend....to "hey they just forgot us again" self assist on the Fantasy.

The Platinum regular debarkation has been handled better than self assist.

We will find out how well they do it on the Triumph next week.
