My husband and I are taking our first Carnival Cruise on the Pride this June. As I am under the absolute belief that I will enjoy this cruise, I am already planning a cruise on Carnival's Freedom for Summer 2011. With this, here is my question. Should I book this 2011 cruise now or should I wait till I'm on my June cruise? Is there any advantage to booking the next cruise while on a cruise? I see Carnival has announced plans to increase prices on the Summer 2010 cruises but will this impact Summer 2011 cruises so will I save any money by booking now before the planned increase? If I do book while on board, who do I see about this? Do they widely advertise booking next cruises on the ship? OK, my 1 question has turned into about 10 but you get the idea.
I would book now if the prices look good to you. If you can get a better deal when you are onboard the Pride then cancel or transfer the existing booking and take advantage of anything an onboard booking has to offer.
If booking onboard doesn't give you any benefits you still have the cabin and the price you want.

Not all ships have the "Future Cruise" desk, that offers bookings, as well as the future cruise coupons. I don't thing the Spirit Class ships, like Pride do! I could be wrong, and if so, I have no doubt that someone here will correct me. I'd take Mikes advise, and go ahead and book now,,,,then if a better price, or deal comes along you can always cancel, and rebook.

Somewhere in the last two weeks John Healds Blog listed the timetable for having a future cruise desk on all Carnival ships. I dont remember the date for the Carnival Pride but I am sure with a little effort you can find it,hope this is helpful.
The Pride was supposed to get it Feb. 7, but I didn't see it when on the cruise. , but I could have missed it, although when I asked nobody seemed to know what I was talking about.
