Default Steakhouse on the Dream

Can anyone tell me if the Steakhouse follows the casual/formal nights like the rest of the ship? Or is it always formal at the steakhouse?

Also - any recommendations of what to order there?

The Steakhouse while not being "formal" has always required a jacket for men. This may have changed recently, perhaps others will now.

Actually, I assume all Carnival ships are the same for attire in the steakhouse. I just emailed and received replies from Nick & Nora's Steakhouse on Miracle and they said that the steakhouse follows the exact dress code as the dining room. So on resort casual nights, the steakhouse is resort casual while on formal nights, the steakhouse is formal. We have a reservation on a casual night and I used a golf shirt and dress pants as an example and they said, "That would be fine."

Even though I've never eaten in the Steak House, I'd say dress at least smart casual but I've usually seen coat and tie and the ladies in a nice dress suit, but no tank tops, sandals, jeans, t-shirts...I believe there's a minimal surcharge of twenty five dollars to eat in any of the specialty restaurants...the menus do list a more expensive list of food that one can choose to eat, a slightly higher end menu than what might be served in the other main dining rooms.
Good Luck.
