Something to keep in mind.....that port is a tender port. The surf / swells can get too high for the tenders to load from the ship and the port is skipped.
It has happened a few times in 2010. We didnt get to go ashore last summer when we sailed Splendor there.
Just something to know so you aren't taken by surprise.

20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please don't let Kevin Bacon die.
Now that would be bad as that is the only port they are going too. It is a 5 day cruise and spends two day in Cabo. First day it gets there about 7 AM and leave at 5, then the next morning it comes back into port and departs again at 3PM. I didn't think about asking but I wonder if you choose too, can you just spent the night in Cabo and get the ship the next day? Would like to see the night life.
It is the height of whale season in Cabo and whales are plentiful and easy to see. I was just there a little over two weeks ago and we saw A LOT of whales on both a whale watching trip and a deep sea fishing trip.
You can also enjoy the downtown area with shopping bars and restaurants. There are a multitude in the port area and just outside of it in the old downtown area.
You can also do water taxi over to Lover's Beach or go around the arch to Divorce Beach. Divorce Beach is nice but it has dangerous currents thus the name "Divorce" beach.
Just be warned that Lover's Beach is also the home to a sea lion colony and it can be a bit loud and smelly.
Take care,
Mike

Recently returned from the 5 day Cabo and went Whale Watching on a catamaran through "Pez Gato." They are one of the tour companies off the pier that is reputable. We booked it on the first day in Cabo, for the following day and it really worked out well. The boat is perfect, not too big or too small, free drinks the duration (2 hours) and Yes we saw whales! Cost was $30. per person.

From what I've read here before, the danger of spending the night in Cabo is that you might not get back on the ship if it can't tender the next day due to weather.
We thought of that. Packed and ready to drive to the dock in a few hours.
One reason why we choose this cruise is that we wanted to check out a sister property of the time share we have to in Mazatlan. We have been to Mazatlan for 20 years and the golden zone has really declined due to the mega resorts. We heard that the Pablo Bonito Rose property was a 4 diamond resort. Contacted the manager at that resort and she said that we could have the use of the property while we were in Cabo. We might trade our week the next time we use the time share. Understand it is about a 10 minute walk from the marina.
Just got off the Spirit this morning and had a good cruise other than people allowed in the MDR with cut off jeans and flip flops. Since we started cruising years ago, there has been a lot of changes.
We really enjoyed the marina area and spent several hours at the resort of the sister property of the time share we have in Mazatlan. No doubt we will be trading our time share to Cabo.
