How big do you need to be to go on the waterslides?

We are looking at booking a cruise for Sept./Oct. 2012 and are now overwelmed with the choices! I love the idea of going on the Dream because of the waterworks, but am also in love with the itinerary for the Liberty. So here is my dilemna...at the time of travel, my children will be 7 and 3 (almost 4), how big do you need to be to go on the waterslides? Do they have a smaller one for my little guy? Which one would you choose???

I looked at Carnivals website and it looks like the height restriction is set at 42 inches.
