I just found the web cam links on Carnival's site. I thought this was great until I found that the link for the Freedom hasn't been updated for several days (going on her the first time in August and can't wait). I saw the note about the satelitte link being down, so I clicked on the Dream. The Dream webcams seemed to be current, so I tried the Valor and then another ship but neither one of them seems to be updated as well, with one of these last pictures being from 2010. Does anyone know if there is something wrong with the webcams or is this usual to be out of service? Just curious as to why Carnival keeps them as a link on their website if they tend to not work more than they work?
While webcams are nice... they often can be boring as many times you have a shot of the bow going thru the open waters or maybe a shot of the shorelines or possibly docked.......and the shots provided can be grainy at times...... For me... I'd rather be there in person as the webcams just dont do the cruise justice when compared to being onboard in "real time" !

The web cam situation is not good I am afraid - here is the latest note from the beard.". all of the webcams except for Magic are having trouble.
Iím going to work on bringing this in-house."
So my promise that they would be working based on the facts I had at the time..................was bollocks. I think bringing them in house is a great idea, it's what Cunard do & their web cams are fantastic.
