Default Handicap Access - Carnival Tender Ports

My wife uses a mobility scooter to get around. We have booked a cruise on the Carnival Inspiration which stops at Grand Cayman. I understand they don't allow scooters on the tenders. Do they offer folding wheelchairs or is she stuck on board for the duration? I emailed Carnival, but got no answer.

Carnival has some wheelchairs on a first come first serve basis which you cannot reserve for a port ahead of time. We tried to get one for cozumel. .. that being said, your wife would still have to navaigate some steps in and out of the tender.

I think they charged a $50 deposit on the wheelchair on your S&S account until its returned.

What email address did you use?

I believe the best way is specialneeds@carnival.com

Thanks for your response. We'd hate to take a chance and have her get stuck on board.
Robert

I used specialneeds@carnival.com

Maybe it takes longer to get a response than I anticipated.

Thanks,
Robert
