Ok, now I can feel it. I'm watching Krooze-cam.com and can see the ship at Port Canaveral. Knowing its leaving today, when it comes back it will our turn and we'll be on it. What a good feeling.
Printed the luggage tags and it say VIP for the first time, so can't wait to see what that does for us. Can't do the priority boarding, because we have family coming with us for their first cruise. Don't want to leave them stranded at the check in counter. Plus, the expressions on their faces will be priceless, once they board the ship and see a the inside of a cruise ship for the first time. Don't want to miss that.
You know, when you book this cruise way back in January you think, wow how long of a wait before we get to go. It feels like it will be forever before September rolls around. Now that we're a week away you say where did the time fly, its time to board. Before you know it, we'll be off the ship, waiting to book our next one. Oh, the joys of cruising!
ahhh... what a great cruise it sounds like you will have..... as for the VIP treatment...priority boarding is pretty much the only benefit, and you are waiving that so as to be with your other travellers when boarding.

I think you actually may be able to just walk them along with y'all, We were in the middle of a conversation with some VIP's when we sailed out of Mobile, and so we got to go in with them, may have been a one time thing, but I would check when you get to the cruise terminal. In Mobile, they were super sweet about it.

If the VIP member paid for the non VIP' passengers booking, they can accompany them in most cases and in some cases when there is a family w/ 2 or more staterooms and 1 of them being a suite, eligible for VIP boarding, sometimes they will allow the others to board with the VIP's especially if they are children.

I did pay for one of the two of them and they are sharing the same room, but I don't think is shows that anywhere. It was through the TA and the statement just says it's paid.
Either way, whats a little wait. After 9 months waiting for the cruise to get here, whats a few more minutes. But still might try to get them to board with us anyway.
Nope, not tried it. I always stick with strawberry daiquiris. Is it something likea pina colada? If so, it would be good. I suppose I need to live a little on my next cruise, but it's going to be a long time before I get to go because I'm looking after my dad right now. Anything you have, think about me. Have it out on deck while looking at that beautiful ocean going by. *sigh* I am so happy for you guys.
It's half strawberry daiquiri and half pina colada. They split the glass so that it's half pink and half white. Very good!!
Yes that one is very good, I'm also one who rarely drinks, even while cruising but some of them look so good you have to try them, or at least I do. Luckily my husband drinks the rest of them after I've had a taste
We got VIP tags and it was only our 7th trip. It was great they had a couch a lady behind desk and free beverages. Very quick boarding. That was only benefit we got though. We are now going on our 8th and we cant wait. But I do know that if you are a VIP if you booked the other cabins for them they can also enjoy the VIP status.
