Default Tipping question on back-to back cruise

Doing a back-to-back cruise on Millie 7-14 Jan. and 14-21 Jan. (first cruise ever, by the way).
Do we tip half way through and again by the end of the second week, or do we just tip at the very end?
If we just tip at the end, wouldn't it look odd not to bring any "envelopes" with us to the dining room at the middle "final" night?
Advice by some of all you experienced cruisers would be appreciated.

I would tip at the end of the first week and then again at the end or the cruise. We had a couple at our table on the Century last year that were going back-to-back and did it that way.

You should plan to tip at the end of your first week. You could be assigned to a different table or have different servers the second week and many staff get off for leave, so I am sure you would not want to miss showing your grattitude. Also, those little envelopes fit right into a small purse or pocket and it is very easy to descretely put the envelope in the server's hand. Same for your room steward.
Bon Voyage

And make those tips at the end of the first week especially generous to ensure a really fabulous second week!! Some of the staff may change, but some probably will not.

I envy you....back-to-back cruises. We, too, are doing Milli on January 7, 2001 and are very excited. I can't imagine the thrill of a back -to-back.
I'm cursious....do you stay in the same cabin for both weeks?

Hello, it looks like we will be joining you also. We will be doing a back to back on 7 and 14 Jan. Looking foward to it. Last 2 years we did the Horizon 11 night and just wasn't long enough. Yes you do get to keep the same cabins.

You say your cabin hasn't been assigned yet? Don't you have your cruise docs yet?

No DOCS yet here for the back to back and we did our own air. They should arrive anyday now. We always cruise right after XMAS and get the docs 1-2 weeks out from sailing. We arent worry yet. Only 14 more days.

What a wonderful "first cruise" for you. But, I'm afraid you will be spoiled now....it will be hard for you to ever just do a 7 day-er. Enjoy!!!!!
