Default Shore Excursions - Cozumel

Sailing on the Century at the end of November and Cozumel is one of the ports we'll be visiting. Does anyone have any good shore excursion companies they would recommend for snorkelling, jeep tours, mayan visits, etc? Don't want to book them through Celebrity. Thanks in advance to all who respond!

Hi SLS28,
You may want to look into this company for shore excursions:

You can also grab a cab at the pier and head out to Chankanaab Park for a day of snorkeling, they also have the "dolphin" swim there.

I went on the Fury catamaran last year through a Carnival shore excursion for $42. We went snorkeling and then sailed to a beach. They had a few water toys (no jet skis), volleyball and lunch available for purchase. On the way back, unlimited Coronas and margaritas. It was a lot of fun and if you're a non-drinker there isn't enough time for everyone to get sloppy. The staff was a lot fun too. The only caution is you get off the catamaran directly in the water about waist high at the beach. I think you can book this or its sister catamaran right at the dock. I don't know if it saves money this way although anything you book on your own is usually cheaper. Email if any questions.

I have heard from several people that going to Xcrat (sp?) is wonderful. There are underwater caves to snorkel through, a great beach, a museum, etc.
