Default Condition of Horizon

Please help! I am a big fan of Celebrity. I have sailed on Horizon, Zenith, Millenium, Galaxy, and the older Meridian. I have persuaded several other couples to join us on an Oct 12th sailing to Bermuda on the Horizon. I have gone on and on about how great Celebrity and Bermuda are. I'm getting a little nervous about the condition of the Horizon after reading several posts on how she needs to be updated. Can anyone give me the true scoop on the condition of the ship? I've told my friends that the ship isn't a new megaliner, but that they won't care when they experience the service, food, etc. that Celebrity has to offer. Will we be disappointed with the condition of the ship?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Jill

We have been on the Horizon. Yes the Horizon & Zenith are the oldest ships in Celebrity's fleet, but when we have cruised on her we enjoyed every minute of it. The food, staff, enterment in our eyes have been great. Everyone is entitled to there opinion
& we hope you and your friends enjoy your cruise.

We were on the Horizon's first Bermuda cruise of the season. If you go looking for problems, they're there to be found, for sure. (The panel above the doors in the portside aft elevator amply rewards a careful reading)

All in all, though, the food and service is still what matters to us. It's still great.

I was on the Horizon in April during the repositioning cruise to NYC. The ship is still in great shape. This was my third cruise on the Horizon and the maitanance is still remarkable. The stair cases and hallways are always beinging cleaned. I was speaking to Mr Bailey a long time bar server on Celebrity and he informed me that they just recently had a new officer come on board who is extremely strict with the crew on maintanance of the ship. Have a great cruise.

We sailed on the Horizon in early March. THe ship is in great shape - and it seemed as if there was some crew member painting at almost every port. The stateroom decor was a little 'loud", but most of the (little)time I was in the stateroom, I was asleep.

My wife and I are sailing in August from NY.
We have an Ocean suite which as I understand comes with a butler.
Is the butler able to book golf for me while in Bermuda?
I would like to play each day while in ST. Georges and Hamilton.
Thanks.

Default sailing in july 2003 to bermuda

Hi, we are taking our 17 yr old daughter this year to Bermuda. This will be her 1st cruise. I am interested in any other families that are also traveling with young adults, maybe our kids could meet. Just a thought.

Thanks

There will be golf excursions offered off the ship and there is usually a golf pro onboard the Bermuda cruises who can hook you up for golf at some of the other courses.
