SPORTS FANS GET FOOTBALL ‘FIX’ FROM CELEBRITY CRUISES
MIAMI – December 29, 2003 – Sports enthusiasts sailing with Celebrity Cruises in January will find that the line’s poolside sorbet service and sunset happy hours aren’t the only antidotes for the winter blues.
Via an agreement with ESPN, Celebrity will carry the following series of post-season NFL games live, fleetwide:
• Wild Card Weekend, January 3 and 4
• Divisional Playoffs, January 10 and 11
• Conference Championships, January 18
• Super Bowl XXXVIII, February 1
The games will be broadcast in public spaces onboard, as well as on the in-stateroom
Celebrity television system.
For guests interested in actually participating in athletic activities, every Celebrity ship features basketball, volleyball and shuffleboard courts; sunset yoga and Pilates classes; fitness centers, swimming pools, whirlpools and Thalassotherapy (sea water) pools. Meanwhile, Celebrity’s Elemis-operated AquaSpa facilities present exotic, rejuvenating treatments on a par with many of the world’s finest land-based spas.
That is what makes Cruisemates stand out...we can all have our own opinion's.
I have voiced mine and you have yours. We can dissagree without being RUDE.
PS If you must know...I have had things on Celebrity I didnt care for. These are items that did not keep me from booking more cruises with Celebrity...Just that I know how to look at the big picture...and I know what I like. I can handle any imperfections the cruiseline has. Not many..but there are some. I choose to focus on the Strenghts.
Its an honor to be in the Company of Celebrity. I wear your title with PRIDE!
I am also know as Mr Princess as I like them to. And Crystal and Radisson, and...
Our first cruise with Celebrity was on Zenith 1995, and have been Celebrity faithful since. Enjoy Zenith. Bermuda is on our list also, just waiting for Celebrity to leave from Florida as they used to do. I am glad that you don't take to heart some things that people say on here. Life is too short, be happy and enjoy it while we can!
Good for you, Michael! Even though we enjoy cruising, we still like to know what is going on with the sports we enjoy landside! It's great that Celebrity will air these playoff games. In the past, we have been on cruises where the TVs in the sports bars remain silent and unused! Amazingly we have been on one Carnival cruise that did not air the Olympics when it was in Atlanta several years ago! That was a shocker and Carnival was the one line we thought would air at least the more popular sports venues the Olympics were offering at the time! So it is nice to know that Celebrity will be covering those playoff games.
