Default Anyone Do Summit's 14-Day West Coast/Alaska in May 2004?

I'm anxious to hear from anyone who did the 14-day cruise on Summit back in May this year. It sailed from San Diego and up the west coast into Alaska and terminated in Vancouver. The sail dates were May 22-June 4. Want to do this same cruise in 2005 and I have never sailed on Celebrity. Hope to hear from you!

Gail: We did the 14-day repo cruise on Summit (North bound) this past May (mid-May) and last May (early May).....what a wonderful, super, special, incredible cruise this is. Friends did this last year and this year with us - and while on-board this time, they booked the South bound repo in September and booked the North bound repo again for next May......what a wonderful cruise - just the right number of days for us and we would have booked again for next May but we decided to book Millie in the Med. for next May (booked while on Summit and got the wonderful on-board credits toward next year's cruise).

Great cruise, wonderful ports, incredible ship.

We did that cruise in 2003, that is where we met Poohbear and many others. It was a wonderful cruise.

Did the Southbound trip several years before that in Sept, May was much better.

Hi, Steve:

Good to hear from you again.....we had a great "revival of the Summiteers" cruise in May. Weather cooperated again for the most part.....Peggy and the Prof and Joy and Bill were on Summit and we met Ann in Ketchikan for lunch - almost like a mini reunion - wish you could have been there, too!

Pooh Bear (love that name!). Your response is much appreciated. Now my husband and I are more excited than ever to do this cruise. It just seems like a wonderful itinerary, really it is two cruises in one. I was a little worried about Celebrity being a bit too formal and stuffy (mu husband doesn't like doing formal on vacations), but we both love this itinerary too much and are willing to give Celebrity a try. We want to book a Category 1A or 1B premium cabin with a veranda. I'm just trying to determine whether to go port or starboard. I think I want to book it on the Panaroma or Vista deck. Any advice you can offer, would be appreciated. You've done this cruise enough to know, that's for sure! Thanks a bunch for any other suggestions or advice you might have.

Let us know what you think of this cruise. I love cruising in May, I always have great weather no matter where you go. I try to avoid hurricane season in the east and the west.

Let us know how you enjoyed the cruise.
