Summit Aft cabins

I just read a cruise critic review that said it was noisy in cabin
9173 from overhead (Waterfall Cafe). Has anyone else had
this experience from a cabin in this vicinity?

Just moved our cabin from forward deck 8 to aft 9171....so am
wondering if we're in for a noisy night. They said the noise
occurred in the wee hours of the morning.

The wife and I stay in 9201 under the Cafe. This will be our third trip and same room. Never had a noise issue for this location. You will enjoy the views, we do.

Thanks for your reply...have been on many cruises and
never had a noise issue, especially on upper decks.

I checked the floor plan and you have carpeting over head so noise shouldn't be an issue. Where they said aft, that was the very back of the ship where they have an outdoor bar with wood decks and wood furniture.

We were on the Mercury and booked a royal suite and had this problem.

Re: Summit Aft cabins

We had an aft, deck 8 cabin and could hear the chairs and tables two decks above us being dragged back into their "proper" placement each evening. It was always early though and didn't bother us. They are quick and it's not that loud. The only noise issue we had was one night a large group of teens decided to hang out there around 2 in the morning. They were loud enough to wake me up. I opened the slider to see if there was a party on my veranda I hadn't been invited to and heard a boy shout, "Let's throw a chair over the side!" I quickly called and reported it. I don't think it was 3 minutes and they were gone.

The cabin that reported the "roller derby" type of noise was
right next to ours - 9173.
