We don't like mega ships and found the Century was perfect for staff and size... Is the Galaxy in the same category....Looking at doing cruise late September or October from Europe... how about the Millineium? Itineraries are main concern for 2007, but ship, and staff secodary
Can't help you compare but we booked Century for Medit RT Barcelona in Sept 07...We liked the itin & thought that the refurbishment with new balconies might make the ship a bit more up to date....hope we are right!
We did the Century from Barcelona and although a few of the public rooms were a little tired, like the theatre and the big lounge...we enjoyed the ship immensely.. The Century reputation for service was well deserved.. The Galaxy is a sister ship...non-cookie cutter.. If you need help on Barcelona please don't hesitate to write..thanks to fellow cruisers we found a great little hotel and a guide there.
I would consider the Century or the Millenium. The Century is getting a fabulous facelift and they are gearing it to be like the Millenium class which is my all time favorite.
The Millenium is also a nicer ship, though a bit larger than the Century, the service and food is wonderful.
If the itin is important to you, then choose the ship that accomodates that.

There is not that much difference in size between the MV Century (70,606 tons, 1770 passengers), the Galaxy Class (77713 tons, 1896 passengers), and the Millennium class (91,000 tons, 2032 passengers). I really doubt that the incremental difference between these vessels would "make" or "break" your vacation.
Any info re Barcelona, the hotel & your guide would be appreciated. We are hoping by the time we cruise that any kinks in the Centruy update will be worked out. Only sad we did sail on her before the changes. Thanks

Your best bet probably is to book a hotel package through Celebrity, which will include the transfer from the hotel to the pier or vice versa. Celebrity will have staff at a hospitality desk in the lobby to assist with any issues that may ariise, and the staff also will arrange tours that operate from the hotel.
