Does anyone have any inside knowledge of Celebrity sailing out of the NYC/Bayonne port next spring to the Caribbean? They are only offering a cruise in October 2008, was hoping they might be sailing in the spring.
Unfortunately, Celebrity has abandoned Bayonne in the spring. They are no longer offering Bermuda cruises, as sadly they heve transferred Zenith to Pullmantur, a RCI owned cruise line based in Spain. The only cruises Celebrity does out of Bayonne are a few NE sailings on Constellation in the fall.
It is such a shame, as we used to enjoy the long time Bermuda run out of NY/Bayonne
Thanks for your response, I thought this might be the case! It was sooo wonderful sailing right out of Bayonne and so much more affordable, we cant manage tickets to Florida and then a cruise! Oh well, such is life...will have to get out my scrapbooks, at least I have my Caribbean memories....maybe once my 7 year old is out of college I can sail again...sob sob....
Hi Patty! We live on Long Island & also liked sailing from Bayonne. It was easier than even sailing from the City.
I think that if you're on a tight budget, you can actually pay less cruising from Florida, including airfare. We found the cruises from NY to be higher than sailing from Fla., especially if you can sail during a shoulder season, like late Oct or early Nov.
The only Celebrity criuse out of Port Liberty is a repositioning cruise.
