We will be on Eclipse next January out of Miami. We have not cruised from Miami before and would appreciate your advice on the best way to get from Miami airport to the port....other than cruise line transfers. Thanks

We've sailed out of Miami several times and have either taken a cab or we
have also used Super Shuttle. A cab will cost you abour $20 from the
Miami Airport to the Cruise Port. Super Shuttle is a little more, we always used
them when we had a group of 4 or more and did a shared ride so the cost was
better.
Hope this Helps.
We leave on May 7th for Vancouver and sailing on NCL Star to Alaska.
In my view a taxi is the best and easiest. Taxi fares are set fares from the port to the airport. The charge is per taxi, not per person. Think the present rate is $28, plus tip.

I agree with cruisemama and Kuki. The difference would be how many people you have in your party. For just two people the taxi would be fine, for more people you might want to look into the Super Shuttle.
Have a wonderful cruise!

Don't the cruise line's transfers cost less than that for two people?

Norm.
Norm.. if you like sitting around until they fill a bus, and then getting to the port, and being kept on the bus, while they remove them so "your can identify them", and then getting into embarkation lines with all the folks from the buses, they are OK.
I haven't used a cruise line transfer for a LONG time, but yes it used to cost MORE for two people than a taxi... which lets you leave when you want, and drops you right in front of the porters.
