Yes -- all of the above. There's also an area abaft the stacks at the top of the ship that's a volleyball/basketball/tennis? court, with a rope cage around it to prevent the ball from leaving the playing area.

I remember , way back when, when my roommate and I were on the S.S. Norway, we participated in volleyball games. We could play until all the ALLOTTED volleyballs went overboard! We couldn't play again until the next day when more balls were allotted for that day.
