Default Radisson or Mariott

I posted this in hotel questions, but that site doesn't seem to get as much traffic. I'm trying to decide between the Radisson Bahia Mar and the Mariott Marina in FLL. Assuming a water view at each hotel is one better than another in terms of quality? The price difference is minimal, so I'm really just looking for the "best." Now if only I could afford the Mariott Harbor Beach, I'd really have the "best." Thanks!!

Is this is Ft Lauderdale?

I have stayed at the Marriot down there and it has a fantastic view of the harbor on one side, looking right over it.

Thanks Paul. Yes, its Ft. Lauderdale, I should have typed it out instead of putting FLL, sorry 'bout that. Harbor view aside, would you stay there again? Clean? Good service?

Hi ya O2Marie <g>
I've stayed at the Marriott Marina a number of times.. very nice. Be sure to speificy a room with a harbor view.
The hotel has a really nice patio bar out back right next to all the yachts. That was the site of the "original Creamscicle Bash" (our version of the Phrolic) about 4 years ago (fond memories as well over 100 Internet friends met for the first time).

Regards,
Kuki

Thanks Kuki. My reservations say guaranteed Water View/high floor requested. Do you suppose this is the same as harbor view? I'm holding reservations at both hotels till I can make up my mind or until one of them gets really, really cheap <g>

I would specify harbor view, there are two towers, an east-west and a north-south. Water view could mean the ocean or the marina, but not necesarily the harbor.

Stayed at Marriott Marina several times and it's really nice. Good service, clean and very pretty. The Patio Bar is great and it was a wonderful place for our BASH.
