Put ours out late Tuesday evening (actually, we had to go buy one), got a nice large one and hung it from the spouting in the house, directly in front of the front door to the house. Looks great.
Driving to work this morning, saw lots of cars with flags taped to them!
Put my flag out yesterday and lit candle....Our driveway is sooo long I put a candle on top of an turned upside down bucket, and taped a flag to the bucket.
Thank you Divetex for the Red White & Blue ribbons.
I made 300 of them last night. When I first handed them to people, they
said It represented the flag. I said yes, but It aslo rep. something else.
As I said In my previous post. I got the ideal of the symbol when I saw
in the ashes, the Fire fighter and a Police officer hold up a very large flag.
We will over come, and we will stay here until everyone is out.
The Blue stands for the men in blue whom lost there lifes, not
given a thought to there own.
The Red stands for the Fire fighters, and EMS, who ran into
a build to help, and gave up there lives to save people they
would never know.
The White the rest of the innocent lives taken.
All the other Officers I gave them too found It a great tribute, and we
all gave each other big hugs.
Please keep the RED WHITE & BLUE ribbons going, they mean
so much to all of us that serve, and protect.
We just purchased 5 dozen flags, so each employee will have one on their desks. Went out to the garage last night and spent 1/2 hour finding my flag. The bracket was still up, so Old Glory is fliying today, at half staff.....
God bless America!
Have the flag proudly waving on the porch, and even have it spotlighted at night.
Love the ribbon idea, DT and Dolphin. I have two trees out front, and a bolt of Americana fabric that will do nicely. That's a good project for Jake and I for this weekend.
