Although I enjoy all of nature..from the mountains, and the forests to the ocean's beaches, the Caribbean will always be very special. I will never forget the awe of that first time I put my head under the Caribbean waters...wow.
I keep hearing Alaska as being the place to cruise, but I will take the blue waters of the caribbean over big chunks of ice.
On our trip to the Caribbean last year that was the one thing I was in total awe of, the color of the water, and another thing that was so strange was how calming it was. I took a lot of naps!!
Hawaii and Alaska...my two favorite spots...along with Bermuda and Nova Scotia. Never cruised the Caribbean...we've been to a few of the islands and to Mexico and have no burning desire to go back...too many other great places to see.
As to diving, I'll take the lava tubes off Maui to the towers of Palancar anyday.
I've not yet cruised to Tahiti or Fiji, but I've spent enough time underwater in the Philippines to know that I'd love both places. Until then, though, I'll have to choose the Caribbean, with Cozumel as my favorite destination. Next would come St. John, USVI and Aruba.
Middle of winter? Give me the Caribbean! But, since we live on the beach here in Maine, we see a lot of cruise ships going into and out of Portland on the New England to Canada run. From watching the local TV news spots, and the increase in visits, it seems as though folks are enjoying it. But winter....... give me Caribbean water!!!!!!
So far I've only cruised the Caribbean. But, I can pick my favorite region of the Caribbean......loved the Southern Caribbean and Eastern was pretty great too. I wasn't crazy about the Western Caribbean. Hope to do Alaska and Hawaii someday.

Since we only cruise once or twice a year now, it has to be the Caribbean. A cruise without a steel drum band is NOT a cruise to me, so until they be jammin' in Alaska or New England, it's the warm waters for me.
my favorite cruise destination is always whichever is next!
i love places i've been, but i really love the planning for and learning about where ever i choose to go next.
i am trying to figure a way to get french polynesia (tahiti, mo'orea, bora bora) into the 2002 budget.so right now that's my favorite cruise destination... at least until final word comes in from the budget committee and i have to start looking elsewhere!
We just came back from Canada (Halifax), which was great! But, I still think the Caribbean is our favorite. Sitting on deck with the warm breeze blowing. Drink in hand and listening to Calipso (spelling?) music. There's nothing like it. You leave all work, any problems and all worries at home.

Any cruise that takes us to . . . ahhh: Venice. Specifically in the Spring.
Of course, can't be cruising around Italy without planning a day in Europe's most beautiful city: Florence. But Venice (ahhh) is . . . perfect for Romance.
Of course the waters of the Pacific around Hawaii are nice, too! But . . .
Venice (ahhh) is for lovers - getting lost and wondering to our hearts content! You get the picture - no where else on earth to compare.
Was scheduled May 2002 on Millie for our 4th Medit. cruise and Celebrity canceled.
