Drink Coupons vs Drink Card
I will be sailing on Carnival 12/02/01, and have been told about being able to purchase drink coupons, 4 for $15.00 and soft drink coupons, 4 for $6.80. Has anyone ever had any experience with this before? Does the wait staff mind taking these coupons instead of just getting your Sign & Sail number off your card? Thanks for your help.

Re: Drink Coupons vs Drink Card
Double check the cost of the drink coupons, I thought they just increased that to almost $20.00.
For $20 I don't think it is a good idea, not with buckets of beer, drink specials of the day, etc. I don't know how much soda is as I am not a big drinker of that. Others I am sure will be more helpful. The wait staff does not mind, they get these all the time. And the tips are automatically included with drinks. |
Re: Drink Coupons vs Drink Card
I was just on Carnival's website where you can order the drink coupons and they are now $19.50 for 4 and are not good for the premium drinks or the drink of the day with the glass you get to keep. Others have said that you save about $0.25/drink with the coupons so it depends on how much you are going to drink on the cruise. Last cruise we went on we only ordered drinks once on one night, we are not heavy drinkers and free alcohol was served at the captains dinner reception and the welcome back party so we were set.
If you want to check prices on these coupons yourself then go to carnival.com and register with mycarnival. It will let you get into the purchases for on board section then. |
