The Ultimate Sacrifice...

As many of you know, Lent is coming in a few weeks, and I've begun to think about what I could give up.

I have decided (I think) to make the ultimate sacrifice and give up..

Gonna give up.....bourbon !

What a long six weeks that is gonna be!

Nope - I don't think you'll make it! lol No way are you going to be able to go 6 weeks (42 days, 1008 hours, 60,408 minutes or 3,628,800 seconds) without a sip of Jack D!! <vbeg>

I thought it was cruisin' for sure! I could probably give up my Cactus Juice but never my chocolate as I sit here eating leftover Christmas candy! Looking forward to the Summit, where I plan to devour every chocolate desert there is! Sue

My brother used to be the late-shift "Lake Patrol" in our home town which features a lake. He drove a high-powered boat around the lake, enforcing the local rules.

One night he spied a boat without running lights and came alongside, hailing those aboard. Not receiving an answer, he tied on and shouted, "Coming aboard." Still no response. He heard some unusual noises and became concerned.

He announced, loudly, his presence. The response, at last, was, "Young man, you are disturbing the peace. And that's spelled P-I-E-C-E."

No dummy, that brother. He said something like, "If you're getting turned on, turn on the ^&#$( running lights," leapt back into his boat and beat a hasty, high-speed retreat.
