Default Mornin', Y'all

Good Morning, all. Made it through Monday, but with haze, ozone, and lots of air pollution and a steely-gray sunset last night. Not worth wasting an image on. Hope it gets better. Really, all it means is that summer has finally arrived in "Big D." Sure wish we could have had a little of that central Texas rain. Anyway, hope all y'all have a good day today. Here's another north Texas sunset from Canada Day to start you off.

Good morning Mates. Know what you mean about needing the rain Tom, Dry Dry Dry here in Virginia. Hot with a 30% change of thunderstorms today. Today I will be tackling files in my new office....my predecessor filed duplicates of everything it seems and the files are a mess. So, I am rolling up the sleeves and diving in. Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning! Got some storms last night, but it just whet the appetite - but this afternoon the cooling begins and the humidity will be gone soon!

Good morning cruisers. Another humid, 95 degree + day in store for Austinites, with a 30% chance of more rain. Have a good Tuesday, everybody!

Here's a photo or two of this unusual July flooding in central Texas:
AMERICAN-STATESMAN STAFF
Tuesday, July 9, 2002

Lake Austin and Town Lake are expected to remain high for at least a week after authorities opened a fourth floodgate at Mansfield Dam and at Tom Miller Dam shortly after noon Monday, sending a bulge of water downstream.

Water levels rose by about a foot within hours, flooding several homes on the northern shore of Lake Austin and submerging portions of the hike-and-bike trail along Town Lake.

Good morning all ..... we are in our summer pattern of afternoon downpours here...maybe we will reover from this 2 year drought. Yesterday, I was sitting a the stoplight near the Weluvs house in a downpour .... when the light turned green I crossed the major intersection and it was DRY!........that's how we get our rain here.

Hope it's a great day where you are! Happy cruising and SPEEDY COUNTDOWNS.

Good Morning cruisemates... seems rain is something many us across the continent have in common today. Though it's supposed to clear here, and get HOT for the balance of the week.

Heading off to work, which this week, is more fun than work

Morning gang,,,,I am still getting over the weekend,,,did not want to return to work !!! Why couldn't I hit the lotto <bg> We sure have had hot (high 90's) & dry weather here,,,although they did mention a possibility of rain today,,,Thats summertime in S.E. Va.
We bought a new camper (39ft. park model) this weekend,,,it's on a permanent site on the Rappahannock River,,,,and oh the sunsets I will see from my new deck. Now all I need to do is learn how to take beautiful pictures like D.T.
Hope ya'll have a great Tuesday.

Hi Y'all!
Another rainless, humid day in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. My lawn is starting to crunchy........We NEED Rain!

Starting to get the house in order. My parents will be here in a week for their annual 4 week visit. Looking forward to it A LOT this year, since it will take 4 weeks out of my countdown to the Golden! Time passes so quickly while they're here, so it's an added plus with their visit.

Got to go shopping for Band Camp items for the youngest son, College Orientation stuff for the oldest, and to let my daughter spend her birthday money from Sunday (my baby is now a 14 year old!) So...it's a FULL day of shopping for me!

Hope everyone who needs rain will get it, and those of you who don't need it can dry out!!

Take Care!
Jaime

Hi gang! Another wonderful, hot day here in cornville. We are expecting rain this evening. I spent the morning shopping in junk stores. I collect children's literature (Newbery Award and Honor books), but hate to pay full price. I did very well today adding to my collection. I just picked up my kiddies, and we are about to be off to gymnastics. Swimming in the pool (yeah), TaeKwonDo and BBQ ribs are on the agenda for the pm.

Mermaid: Boy have you all ever gotten some rain. I've been following along in the paper.
Travelnut: Congratulations-- your new camper sounds WONDERFUL!

Well, its late afternoon here and we finally got some rain last night, much needed I might add :-) Temps are now in a more normal range, but I can still feel some humidity, but nothing like the last few days, feels wonderful. May just be able to open up the windows for a change and give the A/C a rest???

Hope everyone's weather has improved, been a VERY hot and humid summer so far
Now, if I was cruising it would be no big deal, still have to wait 52 days before Alaska!!
