Poll: When do you find time to read this board & post messag

For me, who is out in the field, it is anytime I can swing by my home. The rest of the time is after work and late at night.
If you work in an office do you sneak time from work at the computer to read these boards. No secrets now, be honest.

Actually where do you find the time to read and post here on the boards, especially from work?

Usually first thing in the morning before I start my work day...then again when I get home from work. There are the occassional times on my lunch hour also.

5 minutes before I leave for work in the morning, and then not again until evening when I am back home. At work is an ABSOLUTE NO NO! As the manager who enforces the rules, I can hardly break them myself, !

I work out of my home so can check them any time I want to,,,,,however I am usually so busy 1st thing in A.m. cannot get here till after the morning rush. I'm early today <bg>

I sit alone in a cubicle all day, so I'm able to sneak five minutes every couple of hours or so to check the message boards. It probably seems like more often to y'all, but that's just because I post prolifically when I do check.

I figure I am taking "cruisemates breaks" as often as other people in the office take "smoke breaks." And believe me, when I'm not on the boards, I am working very hard.

I also work at home so I can check them anytime but usually 1st thing in the morn, around noon, afternoon and right before I go to home. Gosh am I pathetic or what? I agree with Michelle tho, when I worked in the office any surfing was "my break" as I do not smoke.

Ditto what Michelle said except I am not in a cubicle. I usually arrive about 30 minutes early to check mail, check the board etc. Then I do my early morning work then I come back for 2 minutes and see if anyone replied, or if there are new threads, then I work till my first break and check again. Then at lunch, then the next break, then when I get home.

For me its when ever I'm at home with a little spare time, no internet at work

CruiseMates is rest stop for me a number of times a day. First off, after I've read the newspaper, my morning coffee is spent with CM.

Then.. at work, once my morning work routine is complete, and the bar is ready to open, its time for another cup of coffee and CM.
Then depending on how busy my day is going... I'll slip into my office and visit again.

And of course, have to stop into the chat at night and say hi to my buds.

Thank the lord my ISP is no longer pay by the hour <G>

Now that I am retired I check the boards when I'm having my morning coffee unless I have first thing in the a.m. errands, like today.

When I was working, I always read the boards at lunch but usually did not answer. I still laugh over the fact that VWs Corporate Office got in touch with me over my visiting the "Get Lei'd" site asking if I knew Volkswagen's strict rules I could be subject to dismissal!

Here I am a 33 yr. employee, 3 months away from retirement and I get this email and phone call from headquarters! Once I explained they laughed about it but for a little while I was concerned!!!

You have to love the Corporate World!!!

I'm the person who controls the main computer systems for our company worldwide so I can get on whenever I want at work . I also check from home.

Home office for me too. Always good to read when you are on hold, or when I HAVE to stay home to wait for a delivery. One is coming sometime this AM. Eves are alays good.

No internet (or computer) at home so work is my only opportunity. Mostly, I don't take the usual breaks and lunch hour so I don't feel too guilty spending 10-20 minutes (spread over the day) looking around at new threads and posts. Luckily, I have my own office and made sure to have the PC set up on the part of my desk facing the door. That way I'm not as concerned that someone will catch a glimpse of a non-work website and stir up trouble. I don't hide the fact that I do some personal "surfing" on a company PC but I'm also wise enough to be sure I would not be embarrassed (or worse) by another employee checking on the content of the sites I do visit... similar to personal email at work. I send and receive knowing that anyone with the right access level could read my messages so I don't include any information that I wouldn't share with a co-worker.

I rarely post on any of the cruisesites but most of my reading time of the sites is done at home in the evenings. I've been visiting this and other cruise sites for 2+ years now but find myself stopping by less and less. I can't decide if this is because the initial charm of the sites and my interest has worn off or if it's something else. It's sure not because I don't like cruising anymore!!!

Well, it was at work (Julie, there), now it's only at home under earlesgirls, cuz we all got in trouble for being on the internet too much! Night time is the only time I have a few free minutes (and then I have to beg my teenager to let me use the computer!)

i usually find the time to read allof the boards after 11 p.m when I get time on the computer . We share one computer between four different people

If I'm in the office, I check quite often and will post things like the Good Morning thing or if I have something to add to another post....ok, ok, ok...I admit it...I check a LOT.......if my work is caught up. I have lots of flexibility in the office. Otherwise, if I am traveling , like now...I check at night....
