Default Man overboard

Someone mentioned hearing about a man that went overboard a few days ago, came across the article after hearing about it on TV last nite:

I saw it on an NBC feed. Wonder if the guy even remembers going ON the cruise?

Hey Pam,
By the sounds of his story, or lack of story, I would believe that too :-) Imagine how he managed to stay in the water for 17 hours???

I've also read two articles regarding this fiasco - it's scary! One report was speculating that he was wearing a life jacket! Now- if that was the case, it makes you wonder if those girls he was chatting up in the casino really had *other* plans for this guy-

He is downright lucky to be alive. I don't know how he survived for 17 hours drunk and treading water. He seriously had some higher power watching over him.

I read that he isn't interested in taking another cruise- lol... I don't mean to sound rude or snobby - but - sheesh - I'd thank him personally for not going on another cruise if I could-

**What really scares me*** My 15 year old daughter is going to be on the Celebration next week! Her dance group is performing on this sailing- it scares me to think that there are guys like that wandering around ships! arrgh... Everyone please wish her good weather and safety while away from home! Thanks!

It's people like that I'd WILLINGLY throw overboard, Deja.

They say that G*d watches out for drunks and other such. Must be true.

Good weather and calm seas for your daughter. And no a@@openings for your daughter.

You know I'd like to post something but I think it would be in bad taste due to
the fact that I don't understand stupidity. {in this guys case}

Oh.

My.

God!

Wow!

How "often" does this sort of thing even happen, anyway?

Deja, I hope your daugher has a safe cruise and trip!

Dana

Thanks Pam- (and everyone!) she's so excited about this trip. I'm a nervous wreck - lol!

Her carry-on weighs a ton because they were told to pack their costumes and dancing shoes, tights, props, etc. just in case of lost luggage. The poor things even have to travel carrying a parasol! I have to drop her off at the H.S she attends here in NJ at 4:30am - so they can get to Newark airport for their flight to Houston. UGH!!

Guess who won't be sleeping much tonight???

As for this drunk guy falling off that ship - I was reading posts on another board and found a link to a news article that said his friend didn't even notice he was missing until after news spread about the incident and he had already been picked up by the freighter. Sheeesh!

I'd like to think that if one of my friends hadn't seen me in a few hours, they'd come looking - and I would certainly do the same! That ship is just not that large!

It's people who behave like him that propagate the "bad Carnival" image...
<shaking head> he's one damn lucky man.....
I'd help you heave him over- lol

'nuff said on him <G> I might say something I can't take back!

Good reason not to get smashingly wasted on a cruise.

Cheers,

Was he overserved? {{Hmm?}} Only one cruise under my belt, but even before
