Default a completely wasted day, but I loved it!

Today was one of those "do nothing" days. I had planned to vacumn, but the vacumn broke down, so I went out to a local 2nd hand bookstore, bought 3 novels for the price of 2, came home, put my feet up and lost myself in a good book for hours. Felt good to just "veg out" for a change, instead of rush, rush, rush all the time. Do you ever get a chance to do the same? (other than cruising of course!)

No, and I envy you the luxury!!! Only 34 more days for me to go before I can enjoy that sort of relaxation!!! I love cruising!

P.S. The day you descibed is exactly what I would do with an "empty" day! Hope you enjoyed it as much as you sounded like you did!

That was my plan Donna, but my mom called early and told me to look for cruises - do I did. If I had not booked a cruise then today would have been a waste....

I envy your day (sorta).

Jodi

Have you ever had a day when everything sucked except the vacuum?

Actually I had a similar day today. It was great to do NOTHING!

My weekends are usually packed with all sort of items to catch up.
Saturday; Fertilize the lawns, appointment with the landscaper, odds and ends.

Sunday; wire up the in-laws house for cable. Move furniture for daughters boyfriend, contractor and bids for a block wall repair, move a BBQ over to the nephews place.

Man do I need a cruise.

My day was wasted, too, if you think of it only a day for doing housework, etc.

I slept late, read the paper, and put on my face. My husband and I went out to lunch, and not wanting to miss any more of our 80-plus degree temps, went for a drive and eventually wound up in a local mall. My dearly beloved was fitted for a tux with all of the accompanying paraphanalia, bought a new suit, and a couple of pair of casual pants, all for our London trip and cruise.

So, there's still a load of ironing and dust on the furniture. TGhe dish washer didn't get emptied until just before dinner. But I spent the day with my lovely man whom I am so, so lucky to be blessed with in my life. For those of you who never allow yourselves to spend more time with people you love, I'm sorry.

J.

I'll be going to a 4 day work week at the end of the month and look forward to Monday's being wasted!

That was kind of my day yesterday. I was reading a book and discovered a printer error where about 30 pages were missing (they were actually replaced with a repeat of the previous 30 pages!) So I went to Barnes and Noble, found a copy of my book, grabbed a coffee, and read the missing section while I sat there. So now I'm caught up. I e-mailed the publisher about the error but I doubt I'll hear anything.

Cheers,
Michelle P.
